Look for the Reece / Percudani Group on the road and in the studio in 2016 and beyond! We’ve been lucky enough to chat with David about this new exciting adventure, here’s what he told us:

www.longliverocknroll.it: You are currently very busy with the promotional tour of Bonfire’s 30th anniversary album that is climbing up the charts and going really well. I know you have been working on this for a while with Mario Percudani. Has this experience been part of the reason why you put together this new band?

David: I actually was introduced to Mario through a mutual friend Val Satori he always thought Mario and I would write well together. So last year we decided to meet and share ideas during some time off I had from the Bonfire Glorious tour, I immediately recognized Mario had a great ear for vocals and melodies! I have a great relationship with Hans Ziller in Bonfire musically and I seem to attract great writers to me? Anyway I also realized during writing sessions with Mario that he would offer ideas to me vocally on where to use my voice in its best range to which I haven’t had anyone do since working with producers like Dieter Dierks. I immediately asked him to produce me on vocals for the new double Bonfire record Pearls and he really brought out the best in me and he also offered his skills mixing and mastering the double album in his studio Tanzan music. The results are incredible! All of us in Bonfire are very happy.

www.longliverocknroll.it: I have been lucky enough to listen to some of the new songs you wrote with Mario and it looks like this new album is going to sound very powerful and perfect for live shows. Tell us something about the writing process and the title “Double Down”.

David: As I said we just started messing about with our ideas and it seemed to fall together very easily. We’ve written around 14 songs so far and have taken our time in each song to make sure each song is very special. My first priority of course is being the front man lead vocalist for Bonfire and strangely enough some of these tracks could go on the next studio record with Bonfire? The great thing about these songs is RPG can test them out live as well and these days that’s a rarity to have the luxury to do?So in essence everything’s being done old school which I love and it gives each song an organic start for growth before actually record them for the album.

www.longliverocknroll.it: You have played hundreds of live shows and shared stages with some of the greatest musicians around. What about your partners in crime in RPG, it looks like there’s a very nice harmony between you.

David: Yes playing with Mario, Stefano and Alessandro is very inspiring! All of us are in different groups and theres a high standard of musicianship coming from each member and an added bonus is they’re all really great people.

www.longliverocknroll.it: Do you plan to tour Italy later this year? Will also italian rockers be lucky enough to enjoy this unbelievable show?

David: Yes we are actually!though Bonfire will play Clusone ITALY July 2 nd 2016 and it’s been a very long time since Bonfire has toured ITALY so we’re excited to share our show with ITALY again. As for RPG we’ve played the Czech Republic and Switzerland and are working on more shows now so stay tuned my friends!
