Ciao Mick e benvenuto su Long Live Rock’n’Roll.it. Vuoi brevemente introdurre la band?

Ciao Elena. Siamo i Bigfoot.

Il nostro obiettivo è di suonare ovunque quindi state all’occhio!

Può cambiare in base all’umore.

Extreme, Whitesnake, Thunder, The Darkness, The Dead Daisies, Sons Of Apollo, Queen!

Vuoi salutare i nostri lettori italiani e (speriamo) vostri futuri fan?

Ciao a tutti di Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll! Speriamo di vedervi presto! Dateci un’occhiata! Much love from us all at Bigfoot x

English Version

Hi guys and welcome to Long Live Rock’n’Roll.it. Do you want to briefly introduce yourselves?

Hey Elena. We’re Bigfoot. A foot stomping, chug rocking hard rock band from Wigan in North West England.

First of all many compliments for your debut album, I really dig it! Tell us something about the recording and songwriting.

Thank you! We recorded the album at Echotone for the majority and Low Four for lead guitars, both studios in Manchester. We used the excellent Justin Richards of The Bakery in Macclesfield as our producer and mixer as he worked so well with us for the previous two E.Ps

How did the band come together?

In 2014, Myself (Mick McCullagh) and Sam Millar (guitars) had talked about starting something for some time. We finally hooked up as we were both wanting to explore pastures new from the local bands we were in at the time. We gelled immediately and then we decided we needed to find musicians as passionate as ourselves. Sam suggested a guy (Anthony Ellis) who immediately fit the bill with his strong vocal skills. It was Anthony who brought Matthew Avery (bass guitar) in as he trusted his thunder fingers as did we when he came to jam! After a couple of brief drummer stints, we decided to audition for a drummer with passion and drive to keep up. Tom Aspinall just blew us away and that was that! We were confident and primed to go!

What are your main influences as musicians?

We are collectively quite varied in styles and tastes but we all have a common ground with hard rock. The likes of Zepplin, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Queen… I could go on all day. It’s our mutual agreement on what sounds right for the song where our strengths lie. Most of the time! We always get there!

You signed a deal with the Italian label Frontiers Records, any chances to see you play in Italy soon?

I’m almost certain we will! Ask them! Our plan is to tour everywhere possible so watch this space.

What is your favorite song in the album and why?

Personally, I would have to ‘Yours’ (the last song on the album) as it has everything… Dynamics, light and shade and full of hooks. It can vary with mood though.

I saw you play in Hull at Hair Metal Heaven Festival this summer and I was impressed by your talent and  professionalism. What’s the most important thing, in your opinion, for being in the music business today?

Wear your heart on your sleeve and be true. Don’t try to be something you are not and rock as hard as you can! And a frequent good meal”…

How do you describe the rock scene in the UK?

It can get a lot of bad press from time to time but we think it is thriving. There are so many great up and coming bands and venues holding the scene together. The loyatly of the fans is second to none. It can get messy and we like it!

Which bands do you dream to tour with in the future?

So many! To name a few… Extreme, Whitesnake, Thunder, The Darkness, The Dead Daisies, Sons Of Apollo, Queen! I could go on but I’ll keep it relatively short

Thanks a lot for your time and hope to see you soon here in Italy! ”‹…and would you like to greet the Italian readers and (we hope) future fans?

Hey everybody at Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll! We hope to catch you all soon! Check us out! Much love from us all at Bigfoot x
