Anders Fridén nasceva il 25 marzo 1973 a Göteborg. Dopo aver inciso il primo disco dei Dark Tranquillity, diventa poi il cantante della band death metal svedese In Flames.
È anche la voce della band nu metal Passenger, e in passato dei Ceremonial Oath, insieme a Jesper Strömblad, futuro chitarrista degli In Flames.
