Eric Clapton è risultato positivo al Covid-19 e ha rinviato due date del tour, Zurigo il 17 maggio e Milano il 18 maggio. Il chitarrista dovrebbe ricominciare il tour a Bologna il 20, sempre che le sue condizioni lo permettano.

Eric Clapton è purtroppo risultato positivo al Covid poco dopo il secondo concerto alla Royal Albert Hall. Il suo staff medico ha spiegato che se dovesse riprendere a viaggiare e suonare troppo presto, potrebbe ritardare di molto il suo pieno recupero. Eric vuole anche evitare di passare l’infezione alla sua band, al gruppo di lavoro, agli staff dei promoter e, ovviamente, ai suoi fan.
Quindi, dopo prolungata discussione interna, è stato deciso con gran dispiacere e molte scuse a tutte le persone coinvolte di spostare le date di Zurigo il 17 maggio e di Milano il 18 maggio, con la presente speranza di essere in grado di riprendere il tour ad iniziare dai concerti a Bologna il 20 e 21 maggio.
È molto frustrante che, avendo evitato il Covid per tutto il lockdown e per tutto il periodo in cui sono state in essere le restrizioni sui viaggi, Eric sia risultato positivo al Covid in questo momento, ma noi speriamo che si riprenderà a sufficienza per la fine della settimana per essere nelle condizioni di esibirsi nei rimanenti concerti programmati.
Un ulteriore annuncio sulla riprogrammazione dei concerti posticipati verrà fatto non appena nuove possibili date verranno identificate.
I concerti verranno riprogrammati entro i prossimi sei mesi e i biglietti acquistati rimarranno validi per le nuove date riprogrammate.

Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from Covid having tested (and still testing) positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall. He has been told by his medical advisors that if he were to resume travelling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, Promoters, their staff and of course the fans.
So, after intensive internal discussion, it has been decided with great regret and apologies to all those concerned to postpone the performances in Zurich on 17th May and Milan on 18th May, the present hope being to be able to resume the tour starting with the concerts in Bologna on 20th and 21st May.
It is very frustrating that having avoided Covid throughout lockdown and throughout the period when travel restrictions have been in place Eric should have succumbed to Covid at this point in time, but we very much hope he will be sufficiently recovered by the end of the week to be able to perform the remainder of the planned performances.
A further announcement will be made concerning the rescheduling of the postposed shows once suitable dates can be identified.
The shows are due to be rescheduled within the next 6 months and tickets purchased will remain valid for the new rescheduled dates.
