Il 2001 segna il primo terribile lutto nella famiglia dei Ramones. A New York City ci lasciava il cantante, la voce, il frontman dei Ramones, Joey Ramone.
L’unico membro assieme al chitarrista Johnny Ramone sempre con la band. Joey era nato nella grande mela, nel Queens, il 19 maggio del 1951 con il nome di Jeffrey Ross Hyman. Nel 1974 è parte dei Ramones, prima come batterista e poi come cantante… E’ inutile parlare di Joey Ramone… è storia!!!
