Due anni fa, era il 2 ottobre del 2017, ci lasciava Tom Petty, chitarrista, cantante e compositore americano. Un ottimo songwriter che ha scritto delle pagine importanti nella storia della musica rock.
Thomas, ‘Tom’, Earl Petty era nato a Gainesville, Florida, il 20 ottobre del 1950. Famoso cantautore e compositore famoso per essere fondatore e parte integrante e fondamentale di quella che è sempre stata la sua band: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Molti i brani che ci ricordano di lui: ‘Refugee’, ‘Into the Great Wide Open’ (ricordate il video con il giovanissimo Johnny Depp), ‘Learning to Fly’, oppure ‘I Won’t Back Down’…
Tom Petty muore il 2 ottobre 2017 in seguito a un arresto cardiaco.
