Oggi ricorre l’anniversario della nascita di Keith Emerson tastierista e pianista di fondamentale importanza nella storia della musica rock. Famoso per essere stato parte fondamentale degli Emerson Lake & Palmer.
Keith Noel Emerson nasceva a Todmorden, West Yorkshire, Inghilterra il 2 novembre 1944. Grande musicista, compositore sulla scena da fine anni 60 fino al giorno della sua morte nel 2016. Keith si suicida all’età do 71 anni a Santa Monica a causa di una depressione causata da una grave malattia alla mano destra.
Fu un innovatore nell’uso dell’organo Hammond ed in particolare dei sintetizzatori Moog e di conseguenza inserito nella Hammond Organ Hall of Fame assieme ai piùgrandi virtuosi dello strumento.
