RAINBOW: in uscita il cofanetto “The Temple Of The King: 1975-1976”

Edsel Records ha annunciato l’uscita, prevista per il 6 marzo 2026, di “The Temple Of The King: 1975-1976”, il cofanetto più completo dedicato ai primi anni della carriera di RAINBOW e prima di una serie di raccolte antologiche dedicate al leggendario chitarrista Ritchie Blackmore. Il box da nove CD, rimasterizzato da Andy Pearce e Matt Wortham, è racchiuso in un elegante packaging da sette pollici e include un libretto di 24 pagine con memorabilia, fotografie e note di copertina scritte dal giornalista musicale Rich Davenport.

Il cofanetto copre i primi due anni della band, includendo il debutto discografico Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, l’album di svolta Rising e i concerti tedeschi che furono poi raccolti nel doppio live On Stage. Gli ultimi due CD comprendono registrazioni rare, molte delle quali pubblicate su CD per la prima volta, tra cui prove di band, versioni singolo e mix grezzi.

Questa documentazione dell’era formativa dei RAINBOW vede affiancare a Ritchie Blackmore il compianto Ronnie James Dio, che all’epoca era stato reclutato dai Elf, insieme al bassista Jimmy Bain, al tastierista Tony Carey e al batterista ex-Jeff Beck Group Cozy Powell.
