Il 20 giugno del 1958 nasceva a Londra Kelly Johnson, chitarrista e fondatrice di una tra le prime band metal tutta al femminile, Girlschool.
Nel 1978 forma la band con la quale rimarrà fino al 1983 e con cui inciderà alcuni degli album piùimportanti del gruppo.
