Il 10 ottobre del 1969 viene pubblicato “In the Court of the Crimson King”, primo album del gruppo britannico King Crimson.

È generalmente considerato uno dei piùgrandi album del rock progressivo: la musica in esso contenuta travalica, secondo i critici, i confini del rock ed attinge dal jazz e dalla musica classica, costituendo comunque un ponte tra generi diversi.
