Part Time Believer, il nuovo album della pluripremiata band multiplatino The Strumbellas, è disponibile ovunque da oggi 9 febbraio. L’ultimo singolo della band, “Holster”, è stato pubblicato all’inizio di quest’anno, una traccia incoraggiante piena di speranza, che è stata preceduta dai singoli “Running out of Time”, “My Home is You” e “Hold Me”. Part Time Believer consolida la reputazione di The Strumbellas come innovatori musicali, mostrando un irresistibile mix di emozione, profondità ed energia contagiosa.

“Part Time Believer is an album about the half truths we believe and the whole truths we believe half the time. There’s so many things we tell ourselves–about what we’re capable of, why we should keep going, and why we have so much to be grateful for–that we struggle to truly believe. The songs are about getting knocked down and getting back up again, about how it feels to keep fighting when half your brain is telling you to stop”, ha affermato la band.
“We wrote these songs together alongside friends old and new. As with all our albums, there was no concept or big idea for the album beforehand. Just a singular focus on making each song as compelling as it could be. We are obsessive about trying to remove anything that gets in the way of a good song. We hope these songs hit as hard for people listening as they do for us, and we’re so grateful that people want to hear new music and come to our shows. We know we’re the luckiest band in the world, but we only believe it part of the time”, ha aggiunto.
La carriera quindicennale dei The Strumbellas comprende centinaia di milioni di stream e milioni di ascoltatori mensili su DSP, dischi d’oro negli Stati Uniti, Francia, Belgio e Italia, la classifica #1 Billboard Alternative Airplay, iHeart Awards e performance su Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show con Stephen Colbert e Late Night con Seth Meyers.
Da quando si sono formati nel 2008 e hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto, “My Father and the Hunter” del 2012, il gruppo alternativo due volte vincitore del JUNO Award ha costantemente condiviso con il pubblico dischi pieni di gusto con sfumature folk, da “We Still Move on Dance Floors” del 2013 a “Hope” del 2016 – che contiene il successo mondiale “Spirits” – fino a “Rattlesnake” del 2019. “Part Time Believer” è una raccolta di canzoni inedite che segna il grande ritorno e la rinascita della band.
I The Strumbellas si sono dedicati corpo e anima per completare questo album, componendo e scrivendo canzoni. Dalle loro sessioni sono uscite quasi 50 tracce, che la band – ora con Jimmy Chauveau a bordo come cantante principale – ha ridotto alle 12 che danno vita a “Part Time Believer”. A guidare il processo di registrazione è stato il produttore Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Kaiser Chiefs, Walk the Moon), con alcune tracce prodotte anche da Keith Varon (Machine Gun Kelly, Lindsey Stirling), Stevie Aiello (Thirty Seconds To Mars) e Dave Schiffman ( RHCP, The Killers, Adele).
Ricco di testi toccanti circondati da sonore melodie folkeggianti, “Part Time Believer” testimonia ancora una volta la lunga tradizione di fusione degli stati d’animo dei The Strumbellas.
