Nuclear Blast ha fissato la data di uscita del 2 ottobre per il cofanetto di CD “The Enigma Years 1987-1990” dei THRASHER della Bay Area di San Francisco DEATH ANGEL, con gli album “The Ultra-Violence” (incluso il demo “Kill As One” di Kirk Hammett-prodotto da Kirk Hammett-), “Frolic Through The Park”, “Fall From Grace” e “Rarities” in un box di quattro CD.
Provenienti dalla stessa scena thrash metal dei Bay Area che ci ha dato METALLICA, EXODUS e TESTAMENT, i DEATH ANGEL sono stati originariamente formati nel 1982 dal chitarrista solista Rob Cavestany con i cugini Dennis Pepa (basso), Gus Pepa (chitarra) e Andy Galeon (batteria). Insieme al cantante Mark Osegueda, il loro autoesplicativo nastro del 1983 “Heavy Metal Insanity” ha dimostrato l’influenza del movimento NWOBHM nel Regno Unito, come IRON MAIDEN e TYGERS OF PAN TANG, comune a molti dei loro coetanei americani del thrash metal.
