I Deep Purple celebreranno i 50 anni di “Smoke on the Water” (anche se ormai sono 52, per essere precisi in quanto il brano è uscito nel 1972) con un tour insieme agli Yes nel Nord America.
Il tour inizia il 14 agosto a Hollywood, in Florida, e termina l’8 settembre a Scranton, in Pennsylvania.
La band ha recentemente pubblicato una super deluxe edition del suo album storico Machine Head, che include classici come “Smoke on the Water”, “Highway Star” e “Space Truckin’”.
