DAVE DAVIES è stato il chitarrista dei KINKS, una delle piùimportanti band rock nate a metà anni sessanta. E’ uno dei musicisti che ha condizionato la struttura e lo sviluppo del rock di metà anni 60 e dei primi anni settanta.
Dave nasce a Muswell Hill, sobborgo nella parte settentrionale di Londra, Inghilterra, il 3 febbraio del 1947. E’ stato il chitarrista solista dei Kinks e ha scritto alcuni dei pezzi piùimportanti della band, nonostante il principale autore dei brani fosse suo fratello Ray, tra cui il brano arcifamoso ‘You Really Got Me’. Dopo lo scioglimento della band negli anni novanta, ha continuato la sua carriera musicale e artistica da solista.
