Auguri a Kenneth “K.K.” Downing Jr, fondatore, assieme al bassista Ian Hill, di uno dei gruppi heavy piùimportanti del metal di sempre, i Judas Priest. Assieme al collega Glenn Tipton ha rappresentato una delle coppie alla sei corde piùrilevanti che il metal abbia mai avuto.
K.K. Downing nasce a West Bromwich a nord di Birmingham, il 27 ottobre 1951. Apprezzato chitarrista, Rock Magazine lo inserisce al 23simo posto nella lista dei migliori chitarristi metal, mentre Guitar World lo piazza al 13simo posto, è stato un compagno perfetto per il suo collega in piùdi 40 anni nei Judas. Dissapori con il resto del gruppo lo hanno portato ad abbandonare il quintetto nel 2011.
